Here are a few views of the Ithaca High School Technology Lab and some students in action.
This is the view as you walk in the door.

Here is the robotic arm, CNC mill, band saw, and vertical mill.
This is the CNC mill in action cutting out a student designed part in machinable wax. The wax is used as a relatively inexpensive rapid prototyping material.
This student is working on a piece for his SMET project. See the last picture for the entire SMET.

Setting up the SMET, Simple Machine Energy Transfer. The students worked in pairs to produce a module that would store energy for 10 seconds and then transfer it to the next module. It is not as easy as it sounds!
